By Chukwuma Okolie

I spent a lifetime trading with a leaking basket

I exhausted time laying my opportunities in a casket

At daytime, I’m winking at ladies with a gadget

At night time, I’m drinking to stupor without a budget

Even in wartime, I’m sleeping in a blanket

I never saw the endtime approaching on my market

In good time I was wasted and jilted by a lover

For a long time, I lamented and went undercover

Without a dime, I was disoriented and couldn’t recover

It took some time, but I repented and sought for cover

In my downtime, I was exhausted but got bolder

I didn’t waste time, I scouted till I could discover

No longer will I follow the decision of majority

I also won’t risk an excursion with minority

Or tamper my devotion with morality

I now envision my princely authority

And know the true mission of humanity

Now I have a vision to set right my priority
