Alikwe Favour Sanmejesu
Tick, tick, says the clock
And so it’s the time
But if wasted at your life’s prime
Hmmm… with the wrong flock
It might turn out to be the worst crime
But by the power of the Holy Ghost
Time can be spent wisely.
God is never late
He is not your mate
He works at the best pace
Not all would have the same fate
All the same
And all in all
God is never late
He never takes long
Oh! don’t worry, you will sing your song
Through life’s many tongs
To your eyes it may seem long
But God is never late
Life’s forceful streams
Scares your dreams
But He will always butter your cream
For God is never late.
Yes your future
Embedded in the scriptures
Not felt by texture
Or fractured with a mixture
And all the required lecture
Fitted in the sculpture
Not to forget your nomenclature
No matter your culture
Or whatever life’s torture
Your destiny you must treasure
Growing in right stature
Always with a good gesture
Friendly like nature
In view of the God-given picture
Do worship your creator more than creatures
Not by traditions of men be captured
Time can’t tell your departure
Therefore always be ready for the rapture
