The stage is set for the sixth edition of Gospel According to Poetry this Sunday, 25th February at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles International Headquarters Youth Church. The venue is the Multipurpose Hall at the University of Lagos and it starts by 9am. Gospel According to Poetry (GAP) showcases performances by Spoken Word Ministers from the Writers’ Club of the Youth Church. It comprises of spoken words, dance, drama, music and miming all in line with poetry.

GAP is a platform that brings together the performing arts such as poetry, dance, drama, miming and comedy. The platform is hinged on the need to change lives positively, raising godly youth, transforming lives and building ambassadors that will lead the next generation. GAP also serves as a platform to refine talents that would be useful in God’s work and bring out the best in them in order to fulfill their God given potential and purpose.

Since inception, GAP has grown to become a platform for grooming young talents in the art of spoken word, music and dance; and has given them an outlet to express their gifts. It is now a quarterly programme at the Youth Church.

Previous editions of GAP have been mind-blowing and life-changing. There have been impartations all through, and the experiences, feedback and testimonies have been awesome.
Since 2016 when the second edition of GAP was held (GAP 2.0), other editions have followed. The theme of the sixth edition (GAP 6.0) is Cultural Praise and it will feature all GAP is known for. This time however, the performances will be rooted in content and appearances showcasing Nigeria’s ethnic diversity.

The Spoken Word Ministers from the Writers’ Club have been rehearsing for weeks and are set to deliver spirit-filled, powerful and inspiring presentations this coming Sunday at GAP 6.0.

Be there!
