There are seven major sins in the life of defective people which include:
1. Pride
2. Lust
3. Anger
4. Gluttony
5. Envy
6. Greed
7. Laziness
1. Pride.
“When pride cometh, then cometh shame…” Proverbs 11:2.
“Pride goeth before destruction…” Proverbs 16:18.
“A man’s pride will bring him low…” Proverbs 29:23.
“… after this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem”. Jeremiah 13:9
“The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride and arrogancy…” Proverbs 8:13.
“We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness and his pride and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so.” Isaiah 16: 6.
What does pride do?
– It’s a prison that binds.
– It sustains our sins.
– It prevents growth.
– It destroys relationship.
– Brings season of dryness and famine.
How to overcome pride:
– Never underestimate the destructive power of pride.
– Tell yourself the truth.
– Determine to be humble.
2. Lust
“Lust not after her beauty in thine heart…”. Proverbs 6:25.
“Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body…” Romans 6:12.
“Flee also youthful lusts …” 2 Timothy 2:22.
“I made a covenant with mine eyes: why then should I look upon a maid” Job 31:1.
”If you are in a wrong location, lust is inevitable”
”Lust is a battle against everybody”
