A movie, title HACHI, had its world premiere in 2009. It was inspired by the true account of Hachiko, a devoted dog born in Japan in 1923.

Hachiko would travel with its owner – Professor Ueno to Shibuya Station every morning, where they would part ways for the day with Ueno taking the train to work.

At the end of each day, Hachiko would come back to the station to welcome to his cherished friend, rain or snow. Years passed as their routine continued to give each other daily solace and steadfast friendship.

Hachiko witnessed Professor Ueno board the train for the final time on May 21, 1925. On that particular day, the 53-year-old professor had a deadly stroke while delivering a lecture to his pupils. That day would mark Hachiko’s final encounter with the professor.

The relationship became so strong over time that Hachiko would spend the rest of his days looking for Ueno. He went back to the train station each morning. He repeated this action every night. Ueno, however, never returned.

In the end, the dog passed away in March 1935. The dog waited nine years for its owner. Because he thought his owner was going to return.

Likewise, the Lord Jesus’ vow to return to earth is reaffirmed in the Bible. He assured His followers that they will see them again. He had already described a few of the ways the Holy Spirit works to get people ready for a task. He assured them that the Holy Spirit would lead them to the whole truth, enable them to speak in His name, and exalt Him.

We must accept all the Bible says about us as revealed truth since we are God’s offspring. In all of our endeavors in life, we must also submit to the direction of the Holy Spirit.

The appropriate approach to become ready for the return of the Lord is in this manner. He committed to return, and He will.

A dog’s remarkable loyalty ought to awaken everyone from their sleep.

We should be more considerate of others, cautious in our behavior, and prayerful in our outlook as a result of being aware of His impending return.

Few people are ready for His second coming. On the day of His arrival, only the intelligent and vigilant will be glad.

Jesus will return soon, whether you believe it or not!
