Low in the grave He lay.

Jesus my Saviour.

We had barely made it through on that resurrection day when the chants of “He arose!” exploded on hearts.

Wow! What a reflection of His resurrection on us all.

But a tingle of fear spoke to me, the thought of…

But why is it that when people die, this hymn of Robert Lowry is next?

It wasn’t just Christ’s resurrection, but a sister had just passed on.

So young, barely old, a mother of four, a twin at the end, and a pastor’s wife.

But why? That was the question on all resting faces.

I couldn’t answer a word, not for the first time, but for the heaviest time.

Alas! Another soul has gone through, and our hearts are cut through.

Whether it would be spiritual anger or a Naomi Mara’s madness, I could not tell.

Tears flowed and depression rained.

How Lord? Why Lord? For what, Lord?

Questions upon questions.

Like Mary of Magdala, we asked, “Where have you kept (my Lord) her?”

And subtlety I heard the Lord say,

“The righteous is taken away from evil…” (Isaiah 57:1)

We are not satisfied, I cried from the crowd.

But, that is why we should now pray, “Lord lead us not into temptations.”

Why? Because some who cursed God never saw the light.

Just hold on and like Naomi and Job, Israel will soon be restored, and that, for the best.

I may say this is the pain in the sun, burning and scorching, yet, the source of all golden beams…

“Thou burning sun with golden beams,”

“Thou silver moon with softer gleams,”

O praise Him! Yet, praise Him!

Alleluia!
