Text: Mark 3:23 Act 19:13-15.
As long as you are a child of light, a day will come when you will be confronted by the kingdom of darkness either physically or spiritually. A time will come if you are not travelling on the same direction with the devil, there will be a collision. What determines your victory when you are confronted by dark powers is your recognition in these two places – heaven and hell. You are overcome in battles when you are not recognized in heaven.
The only kinds of Christians who the devil respects are those who are under the authority of Jesus Christ. That is the secret of power and authority. If you do not deal with the enemy within you, you are just deceiving yourself. Enemies would prevail over you if you do not have any recognition in heaven. The enemies do not recognise your kindness. The enemy within will eliminate your spiritual fire, ensure limitation and stagnancy, and empower strongholds.
The reason for demonic disobedience is the enemy within. The devil operates a primitive trade by barter. He knows when you are not fasting while everyone else is. You can carry authority and power when you give away sin in your life. The darkness within, will put off holy respect. When God judges sin, He judges the intent of your heart, not the sin itself. For an enemy to succeed in your life, it is the work of the enemy within that gives leeway.
What the enemy within does to you
- It will expose you as a prey to the enemy
- It binds the spiritual man
- It ensures the enemy without will not take your instructions
- It will de-anoint you
- It reduces spiritual fire
- It blocks deliverance
- It ensures limitation and stagnancy
- It empowers strongholds
- It provokes satanic mockery
- It blinds our spiritual eyes
- It encourages bad dreams
- It fuels lust
- It brings demonic oppression
The love for money is the greatest weapon the enemy uses to gain access into a Christian’s life, then the enemy within take its course. Money is very deceptive; if not properly tamed it can cause trouble. Some of the wealthiest people in the world are also the saddest. Money does not solve all our problems.
Things that are better than money include:
- A good name (Prov. 22 vs 1)
- A good name is better than money
- Money can intimidate, but a good name earns you good respect.
- Money corrupts, but a good name is incorruptible
- Money is powerful, but a good name is better. Desire a good name
- Money does not have any eternal value.
- True love
- Money can fail in hard times, true love doesn’t.
- Wisdom
- It brings you closer to God.
- It makes careful choices
- The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.
- Salvation of your soul
- One of the greatest things that can happen in a man’s life is salvation.
If the witch in you is not dead, you cannot kill the witch outside.
If the anger in you is not dead, you cannot kill the anger outside.
