When nothing else could help 

For everyone, there is war going on inside of us; whether you like it or not or whether you believe it or not, there is a war going on inside you. Those around you may not be aware but it is happening.

To overcome this war, note these important things;

1. There is no success without a secret.

2. There is no possibility without responsibility 

Romans 7: 19 – 20

19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.” - New International Version(NIV)
19 Instead of doing what I know is right, I do wrong. 20 And so, if I don’t do what I know is right, I am no longer the one doing these evil things. The sin that lives in me is what does them. – Contemporary English Version (CEV)

There are things that we don’t want to do but before we even realize, we see ourselves doing them. There is a war going on within our heart and our mind.

There was a young girl who was delivered from death during the time of Pastor Emmanuel Oladimeji in Ekiti State. The girl collapsed and was lifeless on her mother’s birthday. When she was brought to the church, her mother showed the text message that she received from her daughter that told her to come home that she had a surprise for her. Pastor Oladimeji on seeing that this case was beyond him, he took her to Dr. Olukoya who by God’s grace delivered her by tapping her and calling out her name.

Afterwards, Pastor Oladimeji asked her what happened. She said she had been given an evil script to act. If she had not been taken to church that day she would have died. Untimely.

John 6: 63 (New International Version)

“The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.”

How do you overcome the internal war?

1. Sincerity. You must be sincere with yourself always.

2. Be faithful unto God.

3. Live by conviction.

4. Vision.

5. Live ready, be prepared. Temptations will come butyou need to prepare for the worst so when it happens you will not be surprised.

6. Connect your life to divine guidance.

7. Understand time. There is a time for everything.

8. Maintain a buoyant prayer life. The best time to pray is when you don’t feel like praying.

9. Be a fighter. Resist and fight back sin.

10. Have confidence in God. God is too faithful to fail us. If you refuse to bow, no power will bend you. Whatever God cannot give you; you don’t need it now. If you don’t have what you need, God will give to you later.

11. Put service ahead of status. This is particularly for workers, ministers and pastors in the vineyard of God.

12. Operate with light. 

13. Associate correctly. Pray for God to delete wrong people from your life. One person can destroy what you took years to build.

14. Walk in wisdom.

15. Connect to a prophet over your life. Have a father figure in your life that you honor and that you respect. By a prophet, God led the people out of Egypt.

16. Refuse to be distracted no matter the situation.

17. Develop yourself.

Lord Jesus!!!! deliver me from the power of sin!

Lord!!!! lift me up above sin in Jesus’ name. Amen.
