1. You need a vision (Gen 39:1-6) Prov 23:7

  • What you do not see, you cannot seize.
  • What you do not picture you can never capture.
  • This year 2022 you need a vision or a dream to get to the top and achieve anything meaningful this year.
  • You have to understand that whatever you do not see coming will never come- Joseph saw himself ascending and his brothers bowing down to him.  And it came to pass.
  • This year 2022 – You cannot move from where you are until you see beyond where you are. You can never achieve in life, what your heart cannot conceive this year.

2. Dare to be different on the positive side Gen 39:2

  • Joseph was a different person from his brothers. Be the person others want to be like, not, the one struggling to be like others You do not make waves until you make moves.
  • Be unique, heaven and earth will reward you by how unique you are as a person. This year when everybody is standing out, be outstanding. BE DIFFERENT.

Genesis 39:2

The Lord was with Joseph, and he [even though a slave] became a successful and prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian. (AMP)

As it turned out, God was with Joseph and things went very well with him. He ended up living in the home of his Egyptian master (MSG)

3.Avoid- jealousy envy, bitterness and offences Gen 37:9-11

  • If your desire is to achieve anything meaningful this year avoid envy, bitterness, offences, jealousy.
  • This year learn to celebrate greatness and good things. What rendered the brethren of Joseph useless was the jealousy and envy the demonstrated toward Joseph that was what kept them in the background.
  • Jealousy is a product of life without vision. When you take your eyes off your focus, goal or pursuit in life and fix it on someone else success or results, you open yourself to jealousy.
  • When focus is lost, speed is lost. Do not criticize people who have testimonies, and do not allow anyone to criticize where you are.
  • What you celebrate you must attract. When you see anyone who is always criticizing successful people he/she has the spirit of witchcraft avoid them.

4. Cultivate and maintain good godly character (Gen 39:7-9)

  • Good character is one of the secrets that took Joseph to the top.
  • God cannot do anything serious with someone whose character is out of order.
  • The strength of your character determines the weight of your destiny.
  • Until your character is adjusted your destiny cannot be established.

ASK YOURSELY- WHAT IS IT IN MY LIFE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADJUSTED?

5. Maintain a buoyant prayer life Luke 18:1

  • Ensure that God is the first person you talk every morning. If your voice is known to God all the place of prayers that voice must to be heard on earth. Prayer was the secret of Esther’s life as well as Daniel. Hear from Him first and speak to him first.

6. Ensure you maintain a strong position for the kingdom

  • Anyone who favours God’s cause is a candidate for the success that God gives.
  • Your passion for God determines your passion on the earth. Your passion for God’s Kingdom this year determine your success and achievement.
  • Let God be the reason for which you live and the reason for everything you want to achieve in life.

7. Maintain Divine Presence Gen 39:2

  • Without the divine presence, a man is nothing, notwithstanding what he has or where he is.
  • This year go for the presence of God it will open doors for you anywhere. It will make you stand out in the crowd. It will give you great favour where others have been rejected.

Gen 39:2

The Lord was with Joseph, and he [even though a slave] became a successful and prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian. (AMP)

As it turned out, God was with Joseph and things went very well with him. He ended up living in the home of his Egyptian master. (MSG)

8. Be faithful Prov 28:20

  • Do not be a chameleon – both with God and man this year. Be trustworthy, be reliable, be dependable.
  • This year 2022 if your faithfulness to God will increase, the blessings of God in your life will also increase.
  • Refuse to back-stab, refuse to double-deal. Refuse to short change people that God brings in contact with you. Be faithful in all that you do.

Prov 28:20

A faithful (right-minded) man will abound with blessings, But he who hurries to be rich will not go unpunished. (AMP)

Committed and persistent work pays off; get-rich-quick schemes are rip offs. (MSG)

9. Be diligent Prov 22:29

  • If you truly desired to achieve anything real this year be diligent.
  • You cannot do ordinary things and expect extraordinary results. You must make up your mind to be diligent this year.

Prov 22:29

Do you see a man skillful and experienced in his work? He will stand [in honor] before kings; He will not stand before obscure men. (AMP)

10. Accept responsibility – Be Responsible (John 5:17)

You do not have to sit where you are and lament or give excuses why you are still where you are. There is no greatness without responsibility.

John 5:17

But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now [He has never ceased working], and I too am working.”

11. Connect to divine guidance Gen 26:1-3

Now there was a famine in the land [of Canaan], besides the previous famine that had occurred in the days of Abraham. So Isaac went to Gerar, to [a]Abimelech king of the Philistines. The Lord appeared to him and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; stay in the land of which I will tell you. Live temporarily [as a resident] in this land and I will be with you and will bless and favor you, for I will give all these lands to you and to your descendants, and I will establish and carry out the oath which I swore to Abraham your father.

12. Refuse to be distracted Neh 6:12

Then I realized that God had not sent him, but he spoke this prophecy against me because Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him.

13. Have confidence in God Jer 17:5-8

Thus says the Lord, “Cursed is the man who trusts in and relies on mankind, Making [weak, faulty human] flesh his strength, And whose mind and heart turn away from the Lord.

For he will be like a shrub in the [parched] desert;  And shall not see prosperity when it comes, But shall live in the rocky places of the wilderness, In an uninhabited salt land.

“Blessed [with spiritual security] is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord And whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord.

“For he will be [nourished] like a tree planted by the waters, that spreads out its roots by the river; and will not fear the heat when it comes; but its leaves will be green and moist. And it will not be anxious and concerned in a year of drought nor stop bearing fruit.

14. Put service ahead of reward and position Neh 1:3-4

The words of Nehemiah son of Hacaliah: Now it happened in the month of Chislev, in the [a]twentieth year [of the [b]Persian king], as I was in the [c]capitol of Susa, Hanani, one of my brothers, and some men from Judah came; and I asked them about the surviving Jews who had escaped and survived the captivity, and about Jerusalem. They said to me, “The remnant there in the province who survived the captivity are in great distress and reproach; the wall of Jerusalem is broken down and its [fortified] gates have been burned (destroyed) by fire.”

15. Associate Correctly Prov 13:20

He who walks [as a companion] with wise men will be wise, but the companions of [conceited, dull-witted] fools [are fools themselves and] will experience harm.

16. Develop yourself Jer 51:17

Every man has become stupid and brutelike, without knowledge [of God]; Every goldsmith is shamed by the cast images he has made; For his molten idols are a lie, and there is no breath [of life] or spirit in them.

17. Let go of the past that is trying to hold you down

18. Manage your time

Eph 5:16 Making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil.

Ecc1 3:1 There is a season (a time appointed) for everything and a time for every delight and event or purpose under heaven.

19. Think like God-Condition your Thought Life

20. Manage your Crisis Job 1:2

21. Be the best and beat the Best.

22. Connect to the father’s blessing Gen 26:13-14

And the man [Isaac] became great and gained more and more until he became very wealthy and extremely distinguished; 14 he owned flocks and herds and a great household [with a number of servants], and the Philistines envied him.
