It was an awesome time in God’s presence as the Children department displayed their God-given gift to celebrate children’s day. We use today’s episode to celebrate every child out there and to let them know that ABBA is welcomed to have you.

Here’s a cute interview with a mom and her children talking about their fashion style.

Tell us a little about yourself and children

My name is Opeyemi Essien. I am from the Yoruba tribe. My husband is from Akwa-Ibom. I have two girls, Modesire and Moyosore Essien. I was born and bred in Lagos.

How long have you been attending youth church?

2004/2005 (16 years and counting).
Started from the Teenage church through to the youth church,, got married, my husband joined MFM and now my kids are attending the children’s church.

What word would you use to describe your children fashion style?

Royal Princesses .

Is there anybody that inspires the way you dress your children?

I won’t say there’s one person that inspires me, but I just like it when I see children- girls dress very nicely.
Colours like; Pink, bow, girlish, and ballerina are all the things I see that inspire me.

It’s obvious you are a fan of pink. What do you think their best colour is?

Yes, my best color is pink and ther best colors would be Pink, Purple and Orange. For sure, if Modesire is not wearing pink nighties or shoes, she’s not sleeping.

It’s only her uniform that is not pink. Every other thing is pink, if she is not wearing pink and her sister is, we must change her to pink.

If you want her to eat any food, colour it pink then she would eat. Lol.

So, it’s pink all the way.

How do you want their dressing style to fit into their lifestyle?

It is good to teach them how to decently dress, let them dress their age as they grow and when they grow they’ll learn from it.

What do you want people to say about their dressing?

Pretty… I think pretty is a little too old school….Beautiful and Cute.

If you could raid any gospel artiste closet, who would it be?

I can’t give any for now.

Have the children ever had any wardrobe malfunction in church?

None that I can think off, cos we always have extra clothes once we mess one up.

When picking their outfit for church, is there anything that comes to mind?

Growing up I have always loved fairy tales, with lot of stories of princesses and royalty. I love pink when it comes to dressing my kids, that’s exactly what comes to my mind ROYAL PRINCESSES. Most time I go with a decent knee length dress with pop sock and shoe.

Do you have any advice for parents on dressing their children?

Let’s ensure we dress up our kids in their age appropriate dresses. Thank God for the thrift market where we can buy beautiful affordable dresses, we don’t have to break the bank to have them look good.
