In this part of the world, the colour black has been subjected to what people tend to dislike; it has been labeled bad, evil, and bad luck. It might be because it has been abused or the spiritual meaning. People dwell on that a lot.

Even at that, people tend to wear it all the time; about 75% of Nigerians or Africans wear it daily. It might be the colour of our shoes, shirt, skirt, trouser, bag, cap or anything.

Black is that neutral, and it has been there for everyone at some point in our lives. Yet, the taboo is that you cannot wear all black. Why?

We forget our beautiful colours also have their symbolism like yellow- sickness, almighty white – emptiness, Holy green – stagnation, and many more.

I’m not trying to make a big deal or force you to wear black. However, black is expected as every other colour, and people should see it as that. Black gives warmth and it is beautiful when you rock it with other colours.
