Text: Deuteronomy 33: 25
As pilgrims on earth, there are things we need as we embark on this journey. These are:
1. Protection, because you will encounter many things that will make you want to turn back.
2. Strength
If you do not have strength, you may become vulnerable and when the battle becomes too strong, you might want to run back. Hence, these two are needed in your journey.
You need a shoe, made of iron to thread on the journey. So we need the Holy Spirit as a guide as we journey ahead. Acts 1:8 – “… and you shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit has come upon you…” It is the Holy Spirit that you have that will draw the power to you.
The word of God refers to the world as a dark place, filled with cruelty. As a result, you need something more than what you have in the world. So you need to be endued with power. The Holy Spirit will guide you and show you where to get the power you need to overcome.
Power does not just come like that, you need the vision first before you can ask for what is needed.
Today, look at your life and ensure you follow the Holy Spirit for protection and strength you need for your journey through life.
Be righteous, that is, you have to be in right standing with God; this is done through obedience
