The spirit of God comes in many attributes. Among these are:
Spirit of light – I Corinthians 2:12
Spirit of truth – John 15:26
Spirit of comfort Acts 10:31
Spirit of power Acts 1:5
Spirit of grace and supplication Zechariah 12:10
Spirit of life Romans 8:2
Sin produces death in us, but life gives freedom and liberty
What is Life?
Job 33:4… The Spirit of God has made me, and the breadth of the almighty, gives me life. The breath of the almighty is the life we are talking about here
When you give your life to Christ, His life is impacted into you. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of life in Christ Jesus
Things that control many Christians today – These things do not make them live their fullness in Christ
- Greed for money
- Drugs and alcohol
- Satanically inspired songs and music. Our senses are powerful; anything we listen to, has a formative power inside us.
- Lustful desires
- Rebellion.
- Peer pressure
- Anything that goes on social media
- Bad movies
- Bad books
- Seductive and satanic fashion
- Crooked business
- Sexual perversion
All these continue to choke the life of Christ in us if we give them a chance. Keep the fire of God burning, otherwise, these things will enter. Romans 8:13… If these things keep controlling us, we are lost and will perish.
How to walk in the Spirit of Life
- Accept Christ as the Lord of your soul. Heb 10:39.
- Receive the power of God and His Spirit through His baptism.
- You kill or crush those things that control you Romans 8:13; Colossians 3:5
John 12:24 kill the flesh so as to produce life. This can only be done through the Spirit of Life
”Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.“
