Welcome to the concluding part of this story series.

I could feel that I was on a bed, but I was too tired to open my eyes. I just knew I was in a bit of pain. After several minutes of trying to regain consciousness, I weakly opened my eyes. At first, I thought I was in my room, but as soon as I recalled what happened before I became unconscious, I became more alert.
I saw a lady wearing white and a police officer. I was on a bunk bed and I saw a red stain on my skirt. I was lost for 10 seconds with a deep fear that I had lost my pride. The lady wearing a white scrub (a nurse) noticing my visage quickly made me understand that when I fell unconscious, I had a cut on my palm and the blood stained my skirt. That gave me relief, but also made me realize the pain from my left hand. I asked about Femi and I was informed that he was in police custody.

I was later discharged from the hospital that evening. For the next few days, I was still paralyzed with shock. I could not bring myself to attend classes and I barely ate. My roommates had to call my parents to take me home. I also noticed that Bolu had been absent, but I was too devastated to bother asking.

It took two weeks of counselling to get myself. I was told that they had concluded the investigation and Femi was to be arraigned in court. I did not want to see him, but I wanted to know why he wanted to defile me. My parents followed me to the station and we were informed that Bolu, my friend, had set up Femi to get into a relationship with me and have intercourse with me. When Femi realized that I was not in for that even after the party we went for, he decided to force himself on me. I was lost on why Bolu, my best friend, would want to do such to me. I then remember what happened between me and Bolu before we became friends. We fought when we were still getting to know each other and we had an exchange of words. I said certain unkind words to her and she said that she would deal with me. I later apologized and I believed that she was no longer holding grudges, but I was wrong. She was aware that I was a virgin, so she planned to cause me to lose it. Bolu was also arrested and was to be arraigned.

The whole event shook me and I had to be away from school for a while to get myself and my parent were there to help and encourage my healing. I returned to school close to the exam period and I had missed several tests, but some of the lecturers were kind enough to allow me to take the missing tests, and I did all I could during exams. That was the semester I saw a drop in my grades, but my previous GPA kept my CGPA in good standing.

After my encounter with Femi, I restricted every boy that came my way. I was not ready again to have anyone take my heart and this was majorly because I had not still forgiven Bolu and Femi. I later had to let go, but that scar took a long time to heal. I was not sure if I would ever give any young chap a place in my heart again until I met Adebayo. I guess you would love to hear how Adebayo came into my life, but that would be a story for another time. Just maybe you should watch out for “How I Got Married to Adebayo.” Till then. I hope you learnt something from my story. Thank you for reading.
