Art Drive returns this December with an artistic composition by Joshua Antia titled At the Foot of the Cross.
At the Foot of the Cross
This composition depicts the essence of the crucifixion of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. It shows how the blood of Jesus flows down the cross and into the soil. It doesn’t end there; new life comes forth which is in form of a plant that signifies new beginnings and a new purpose. The cross where Jesus Christ was crucified, symbolizes life for us.
The Blood of Jesus has power.
The Blood of Jesus cleanses.
The Blood of Jesus atones for our sins
The Blood of Jesus gives life to all dead things, spiritually and physically.
The Blood of Jesus redeems us from the curse of the law.
At the Foot of the Cross is the point where we receive the power to walk in the newness of life. It is at the foot of the cross that the old man of sin is crucified and we live the life of Christ in faith. At the cross, we quit every tie and affinity with the world. You need to run to the cross daily to receive power to overcome sin and the flesh.You can’t live a victorious christian life if you do not run to the foot of the cross daily.
About the artist
Fifteen year old Joshua Antia spent the first few years of his life in the United States of America where he had his nursery education and a few years of grade school. He graduated from Caleb International Secondary School where he was a science student and art lover. Joshua started art at a very young age. His parents would buy him little sketch books with which he practiced. His love for art developed from drawing random things he saw like dinosaurs and cartoons to figurative and interpretive drawings. As he grew older, his creativity and passion for art increased. His hobbies include drawing, bible reading, watching cartoons and sprinting.
Joshua is currently one of the leaders in the Art Club of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Teenage Church at Lagos, Nigeria. He seeks to spread the gospel through visual art. Joshua lives with his parents in Lagos, Nigeria.
