Marvellous Alonge

It hit me softly,

Gently it combed through my hair and relieved the burden off my head.

It confronted me with soothing slaps I’d not regret,

It caressed me with sleepy air I could not resist,

And swept my skirt off its stead.

Who said it was only the trees that could dance to this whispering music?

Who said it was only dust that could be carried away by this force?

Who said it was only the waters that could stir at its coming?

Who said it was only flight that could be buoyant at its rush?

Even I can be stirred,

Even I can be buoyant.

I am strong enough but not to reject this relief,

I am cold enough but not to melt at its presence.

It is simply nature,

It is simply that scene that unfolds only to be felt,

It is simply that state humanity cannot reset.

Only if I could see this beautiful thing I feel,

And hold it so close never to leave me in this hardened state,

But then it becomes still and I am left alone to wish.
