On Sunday 28th January 2018, the MFM Headquarters Youth Church Pastor’s Annual Rotation exercise for the year 2018 came to an end. The rotation exercise had earlier commenced on Sunday, 7th January and lasted for a period of four weeks.

The Pastor’s Rotation is a tradition that was adopted from the practice of the MFM International Headquarters. Annually, in the first month of the year, precisely January. Pastors in all the groups are rotated in order to bring a new feel to the different groups and to resuscitate the passion and commitment of members. It’s also a way of spreading the human resources in the person of the group leaders around other departments. Obviously, different group leaders have different levels of strength. The rotation is a way by which the church endeavors to get the positive attributes – the strength of each group leader beyond the groups they are used to. It is a way the church uses to harness the strength of different pastors and group leaders to build up other groups in the church. It is also to build other members – the people of God. It is a practice that started about five years ago, the time the church clocked four years and since then, it has been an annual ritual.

As part of the rotation exercise this year, Pastor (Mrs.) Bukola Bamiduro from the Ushering Unit was rotated through the Writer’s Club. During her time with the club, she provided necessary guidance and direction to bolster the commitment of members in pursuing the club’s unified mandate. She encouraged the members to remain passionate and focused in executing their assignments within the club. She also stressed the need for continuing professional development among members in their roles as writers. More importantly, she gave out words of exhortation and led the club in focused prayer sessions. Her short time spent with the club spurred a renaissance and motivated the combined team spirit. She will remain dear to the club always and we look forward to having her around with us on another tour of duty in the near future.

With the exercise now over, Pastor Bukola has returned to her group, the Ushering Unit while the Pastor in charge of the Writer’s club, Pastor Leke Babayomi is back with the club after completing his rotation with the Covenant Partners Group.
